#GivingTuesday, We Love Teachers 🐝Like you, we love educators. Since educators can play a critical role by creating bee sanctuaries, we worked with Bees in the D, to create this free Educator’s Guide to Hosting a Beehive.

As the Sustainability Manager for East Carolina University (ECU), Chad oversees the Greenville Community Garden, a partnership with Love A Sea Turtle, providing learning opportunities about plants and where food comes from while supplying fresh produce to community members in need.  With resources provided through our Sponsor-a-Hive program, East Carolina University and Love a Sea Turtle now have the opportunity to educate the public about the importance of bees and other pollinators!
Bees:  They’re clustered for the winter.  On warmer days they may take cleansing flights and eat some of their honey. On warmer days, workers also clean any dead bees out of the hive.

Beekeeper: Provide upper ventilation and insulate your hives if you haven’t already.  Read about bees. Enjoy your honey!
